Day 8 pt 2 Broadway and Dinner

Since we couldnt get to Central park, we rushed off to the TKTS booth to get half price tickets to another musical. This time we were late and though there was nearly no line, there was also barely any good tickets left. We decided to go and watch AVENUE Q- for those of you who dont know it is the musical with muppets. We decided to have something to eat before we went in to the theatre- and the only thing on our way was a street meat stand- though the hotdogs, again, werent too bad. The theatre, in true NYC fashion, is entirely underground, topped with a really beautiful social square. It really is amazing how much of this city's life is conducted under the streets.

The musical is actually surprisingly good containing all manner of hilarious jokes, swearing, muppet sex scenes (really graphic) and racism. It is actually a very honest script dedicated to the unspoken truths throughout our society, like how everyone secretly loves racism and how we all feel better about ourselves when we see someone have a bad day. A very entertaining musical.
